i guess the first just seems silly to me, doesn't really add much and just "sounds" sort of shitty
to here knows when just gives me a headache, there's such a thing as overdoing the tremolo
the other two are forgettable at best

Nowhere bores me. I've never actually finished the album. Perhaps the problem?
Probably not. To tell the truth, I've never actually LISTENED to the album; whenever I put it on, it's to vibe out. I get the gist of the sound (I love that it's upbeat), but for as many times as I've listened to it, I couldn't even tell you the names of any of the songs other than "Vapour Trail." Maybe you just don't like it ;-)

Hahaha...good list, and I respect it, but man I can't agree with that order. To me, 'Loveless' will always be the top Shoegaze album, the one that most completely encapsulates what makes the genre so appealing to begin with. One of my favorite albums ever.
Also, you have to include a Catherine Wheel album on that list. Good looking with Cocteau Twins, though ;-)

i have the same problem with nowhere, though vapour trail is a complete classic. love the drums on that album too
Cocteau Twins aren't really even shoegaze any way so it doesn't matter. though they were really influential to it
