I'm really challenged on these dudes sometimes...they go from average 70's hippie erotic french movie shit to the brilliance of prog like T/track!!!! Almost could 4 this just because of that track...damn!

Early KC (everything from '81 and before) is such a wild journey. Every album is so different in so many ways, each of them great for a variety of reasons. I've always thought this one was a bit overlooked, very funky and groovy.

It required an absurd amount of trial an error for something that should be so simple. Having said that I'm not entirely displeased with the result.

brings me back to my days of playing DOOM as a kid and re-reading the instruction manual over and over as though it were a bible.

Damn tect that's a nostalgic statement if ever I've seen one, remember those good 'ol days where instruction manuals actually existed and had useful info? If I remember correctly the PS1 Doom/Final Doom games included a guide to all the monsters and items contained within - the sprites were present, so I can definitely envisage the Cacodemon one hiding somewhere in my vague collection of memories. Same with Mega Drive games, used to love those Sonic booklets. I would NEVER play a game without reading the manual first and it built up the hype for when I couldn't play with my shiny new toy immediately (like Xmas, lol).

Hah, yep. That's the first thing I did as a kid - open the box and immediately read the instruction manual. Reading about the levels and enemies and weapons et al was so exciting to me for some reason. I think my favorite manual was SNES's 'Earthworm Jim.' Either that or the one for 'Mortal Kombat Trilogy' which had an obsessive amount of character info.
Nowadays there's a dedicated wiki for everything but it's just not the same :o(

Earthworm Jim!
Yeah I agree, guess this is a similar argument to physical vs digital music in many ways.
