For Lack of a Better Name is filled with non-minimal, RAT is the minimal one.

FLOABN is about half/half i'd say. The first four are obvisously not minimal but then I'd say the next four are. The 16th Hour kind of straddles the line and Strobe starts off somewhat minimal until it explodes

I've only listened to one of his albums and I assumed the rest were the same. If not, I'll give them a listen too.

Where he truly displays minimalism is in the At Play series.

Im guessing you probably heard random album title since youre complaining about minimalism. You should definitely try FLOABN. My gf hates minimalism and its the album that got her into the mau5

I love all he's done in his full lengths (minus a few songs off his newest) but the At Plays always seem a lot more hit and miss to me

The At Play albums are only good for partys/clubs but his full lenghts are great for casual listening as well.



Can't pass final judgment on 4x4=12 just yet since the leak is not the final product but if Bad Selection is left out it might become my mau5 favorite.

Random Album Title is very minimal in its approach, and at times veers off into deep house. For Lack Of A Better Name is pretty 50/50; there's nothing minimal about the new album. And the At Play series aren't minimal, they're just a little lighter on content. They're designed specifically for the clubs; steady beat, slow progression, little change etc. They're billed as "dj friendly mix albums"
