i mean i can see why some people would hate them mostly because they seem like a bunch of knobs writing faux inspirational lyrics that they themselves probably think are bullshit but yeah

that is it right there.

What Chan is trying to say is "it's catchy".

Just needs a few more Davey-approved "Woh wohs"

For all of those who like Mumford & Sons. It's worth checking out Frontier Ruckus. Specifically the song 'Nerves of the Nightmind". They're a great band and it's a great song.

Don't understand all the hate for this album. Yeah it's kind of poppy folk, and the lyrics are sometimes corny, and the subject matter doesn't vary much. But it's catchy and emotional, the song styles are different from each other, and when you watch them live you can tell they really love their music. Mumford's voice is gold, too. Not saying it's any kind of folk classic, but I think some people hate it too much simply because others love it too much.

I like Marcus' voice but hate the harmonies. =/
Hope they are better on the next album. =)

Maybe "some", but I don't think that is the case to a large extent.

If the rest of the album is as awesome as "The Cave" I should check this out. I love the banjo solo. I did not like Little Lion Man, though.
