Also, I was expressing that as a genre because there wasn't a genre for any of those bands at that time, now they'd all fit into the realm of metalcore and remind of what that genre is/was capable of. They weren't hardcore, they weren't metal, they weren't progressive, and they weren't death metal but that doesn't mean what they were was great. I like that kind of style alot.
