it's basically really three songs, each around 11-17 mins. not really conducive to mass appeal. unlike the Wall, where the songs were cut into shorter/more chunks to be more easily digested by people less interested in good music.

Nah, the Wall rocks, although I do believe I've said that before. My favorite off this is probably Dogs. Such an amazing track.

lolz I'm mainly joking around. I like the Wall too, just not as much as I love Animals.
I do wholeheartedly believe that the Wall is more popular in general due to the dedication to traditional song lengths, among other things. That's why you'll hear multiple different songs from the Wall on the radio all the time, and they literally can't play anything off of Animals. I find the music and overall concept/story of Animals to be much more interesting anyways, but that's just my opinion.

Ford, you are absolutely right (traditional song lengths, radio airplay, etc.) - I think The Wall was one of the first albums I really listened too - although this rocks as hell, also!
