Ok, this was really fun
but for 2008? Damn, so many observations here. Sounds a lot like many of the bands that are playing today, which means the genre hasn't really progressed much in 17 years
Then again, I appreciate this for there being actual riffs and a sense of melody (the metal influences), the punk stuff is pretty toned down here compared to the myspacecore bands, there are also no pig squeals which seem mandatory for many revival bands today for some reason
but yeah, the most fun thing about this are the fun riffs and the music being lively and unpredictable. wish I had forced myself to listen to Whitechapel's deathcore era in the earlier years so at least I'd have a fuller picture of the genre sooner
