'that's no excuse to overate the music though that's ridiculous. not saying that you specifically did but just in general.'
That's the most asinine comment I have ever read...

I mean.... didn't everyone auto-5 David Bowie's last album cuz he died.....?

What are you talking about, out of all the stupid ass shit that gets said on this site that's the most asinine? This album is lower quality than most albums that are in the 4.3 range on this site and I don't think it's fair that this is held to that standard because there's a sad story behind it. Souvlaki, for example, has a 4.3. If the story resonates with you fine, if that makes the music more interesting fine, but there's no way this album deserves a 4.3 avg for the music by itself imo.
A lot of people might have overrated Bowie's last album because he died but it was a really well made album too.

This is (slowly) wearing its way into my heart. Individual tracks/melodies/riffs/whatever donβt really stick out but as an atmosphere builder itβs quite impressive.

To me, this is the literal sound of the apocalypse. When meteors rain down and scorch the Earth, this is the album that will play in the background.

Also think it's cool these guys are from Macon, GA. That city and this sound are not quite reflective of each other lol.

Easily one of the most underrated records of the last 20 years.
