weird, those are my favs off this as well



the issue with the long tracks is mainly, from my perspective, that they don't really do enough to hold your attention through the entire length of the track, so it can't really be justified in having that extra length



like, want a good longer track, look at fuckin horror of it all, shit's nearly 8 minutes



hell even trying to break ten minutes can be done right if you're not a shithead about it, look at cosmic cortex

Flynn likes to repeat his riffs a hell of a lot, this is especially a problem with the longer songs as the vocals don't exactly change or excel the song quality at all.

i remember really digging Aesthetics of Hate and Now I Lay Thee Down back when this came out. gonna give this another go because flynn is a solid dude
