Yeah the wall is a solid 3.5. A concept album based around a depressed rockstars crumbling ego and overinflated sense of importance crashing down on the weight of his mortality? I mean I get that being rich makes being depressed less of a real concern but the bigger problem is just the consistency. There's a couple of really sad songs on the Wall that anyone can relate to iirc.

the wall is legend stuff for that reason though. its not a 19 minute minor threat record that you throw on and dick around
its like once upon in the west, or some long ass, winding, thick, drawn out, heavy film experience, that you return to once in a while
the really strong moments in the wall are basically untouchable
