Can’t possibly understand why someone would prefer Black Future to that extent, Outer Isolation perhaps simply because it’s a little more concise. This is the perfect culmination of everything they did previously, progressive but never meandering, tech but never overly indulgent. Song-writing reigns supreme here.

OI is probably my least fav of theirs, even though it was the first album I heard from them. Still a 4.5 though haha

Completely agree, Demon.
I fell in love with this after 2-3 listens, and I've given Black Future and Outer Isolation probably 6 listens each after hearing people say they liked them better, but I just don't see it.
On the previous 2 albums, too many of the riffs come out of nowhere and don't fit the songs at all.

I totally agree with Demon. Black Future is great, but it's my least favorite Vektor album to date tbh

I also prefer BF over thi-

Not seeing how BF is better, but it's still awesome regardless.

I listen to Vektor more for the prog than the thrash, so I definitely prefer this

Halfway through Droid - Terrestrial Mutations (see previous page) and before listening I promised myself I'd put my Canadian metal bias away, but it turns out this album is boring as hell. It's nowhere near as interesting or varied as Vektor is.

What Canadian metal bias?
|

Lol, it's just a personal thing. I'm Canadian and I love metal, so when I come across something brand new that fits the same bill, I'm like, "Ok dummy take your emotions out of it. Just because the band is from Canada and they're metal doesn't mean you need to be nice and support them."

@bloc
Ah right, I wasn't sure where your bias lay (for or against). That's a bummer that you don't like Voivod then.

Hell, I don't really like newer Gorguts either
