first time I heard this I was like, what the fuck is this bullshit, its just shitty acoustic chords and random ass calls to Jesus and Anne Frank??? and like the quality of the recording is just garb and the dudes voice?? he's just yelling at me.....

Ill admit, the vocal in "two headed boy" was recorded farrr too hot... to the point of it sounding all tinny and squashed and disgusting. That said, i really like the music

I prefer the first two headed boy over part two personally
@drifter no one’s saying they don’t like anything. This is the record that made me realize recording quality and actual quality aren’t correlated at all (for the most part)
In audio terms this peaks (creating clips and distortion) absolutely everywhere lol. It just simply doesn’t matter

it's because Jeff recorded the song/his part in one take when everyone thought he was going to do just a verse or two, and only a couple little things were added to the song after (some horn overdubs and a few places where Jeff's vocals were doubled), so the song here is essentially exactly the one Jeff did in the one take, and it's not entirely known who shouted it, but best guess is Scott Spillane I think

I just find a lot of it boring. Life's a Bitch rules hard though and the album does make me nostalgic. I actually had it 5d for a while back when I first heard it and thought it was just unbelievable but it grew off
