the part where he screams "not just a manic depressive" brings the chills each and every time

sometimes I wonder if this is my favorite BN outright

I listen to it more than anything else and it's now been almost 3 years since it dropped

I only ever go back to TDAG for nostalgia anymore, and Daisy is my go-to autumn record

In my head TDAG is still objectively the best, but I probably listen to it the 3rd most out of their discog these days

I think it just has to do with time & wear. I listened to TDAG on repeat basically from 2006-2009, then a bunch more once Daisy's novelty wore off so prob like 2010-2012. I didn't give Daisy the attention it deserved at the time (because it wasn't TDAG), but then circled back to it and it became a classic for me around 2014-2015. SciFi was an instant classic for me and still hasn't worn off.

I think approaching a discography fresh always results in a different and possibly less biased opinion. I've done it with plenty of other artists that I either ignored or were before my time and it tends to give you a better view of what the "best" music is without being clouded by nostalgia.

Anyway, I do agree that TDAG is their best. I think perhaps SciFi just goes down easier? Or maybe the novelty still hasn't worn off even after 3 years and I haven't realized it? Either way, TDAG->Daisy->SciFi is a holy trinity of perfection. YFW and Deja feel a tad immature by comparison but I still love 'em.

while i had this 5'd for a long time, the low points on this (could never be heaven, no control) actually made me drop this half a point sadly. daisy gets most of my attention these days prob

Listened to this way more than TDAG, tho I was late to the game. Maybe that makes me less biased because I don’t see TDAG, Deja and Daisy thru nostalgic glasses as much (tho they do take me back 6 years or so to high school days when I got into BN)
