I get where Trophy is coming from honestly, but nonetheless it’s an incredibly harsh assessment. This did get some post-TKOL hype, which is funny as TKOL is actually far better and not the misstep it’s regarded as by so many.

This grew a lot for me, it's my second or third favourite radiohead album. Amazing album.

I'm convinced to listen to this again. I may be too harsh on this

I need to re-listen to TKOL. I dismissed it at the time but my tastes have evolved since.

I think my difficulties with TKOL are different than with this record. TKOL I felt like I just couldn't understand what it was trying to do. This record I feel like I get it but just don't like it

My only problem with this album is the first track. It's a very good song but feels different to the rest of the album.

Ok yeah I was being to harsh on this. I think the 3 I used to have it at is more appropriate, but my god does the back half of Identikit sound like a middling song off of Demon Days

It's a fair point that Burn the Witch is a sore thumb here and definitely the transition to Daydreaming isn't the smoothest. But Daydreaming is a really hard song to sequence into lol nothing really prepares you for that
Also I think Burn the Witch's social/political commentary will continue to age really well given the direction western politics appear to be heading

agreed, it's just...not a good song. not interesting, not catchy, not memorable, and doesn't fit the album at all

I think Burn the Witch is the good opener, and because it's immediately followed by a sad piano ballad it doesn't even feel out of place

Nah, it's more than the transition, it's just feel out of place. I usually start the listening with daydreaming. Way better for me to skip first track.

I really don't get what all the hype surrounding Daydreaming is about. I really don't get that track, nothing special to me.
