every time i come back to this i expect to get somewhat bored because i've listened to it so many times throughout the years, yet every single time i find myself completely absorbed and by the end of it feeling like only an instant has passed.

Idk I’m a guitarist at heart, so maybe there’s a lot going on behind the scenes I don’t notice as much as more well rounded musicians, but the riffs here really aren’t all that. The drumming and bass work have always been the standouts to me on this album.



And god let me be clear, there’s a thousand other vocalists that could’ve fronted this band. I like Maynard, but everyone (at least people I know) worship the fucking ground he walks on.



There’s a reason Tool is his most popular band. The musicians carry him, and why Perfect Circle is stuck in limbo and why no one gives a fuck about Pusicifer or however the fuck you spell it
