i don't really see the point in comparing. mastodon are all about riff-fests and neurosis are all about that tribal, plodding, build up, almost doomish style

i mean, i'm not that well versed in the ways of the neurosis but i'm listening to through silver in blood right now and its a good time, but in no way does it resemble mastodon. it sounds a little similar to remission but thats a stretch

ever since i saw these guys live my interest in them has gone straight down, stilll enjoy Leviathan quite a bit but more than half of this is just an annoying blur nowadays
