I Am the Wooden Doors is my least favorite on The Mantle, including the instrumentals.

Come on Bodom (yes I'm still calling you that) what the hell? Well it was the first Agalloch song I ever heard so that might be why I love it as much as I do.

Wooden Doors is incredible. You have to listen deep into it to really strike the gold.

I mean I still like it a lot but it *almost* ruins the pacing of the album for me. For the most part the album is content

with being mellow and subdued and then they throw a roaring metal track in the middle. I'd probably like it more if it

was on Pale Folklore.

And also you have to take into consideration that I fucking love Odal, The Lodge, and The Hawthorne Passage.

Pretty hard to beat Pale Companion with all of its different movements. Their best song indeed.

Odal is one of the tracks that legitimately bores me at points.

Odal is a weird one. Honestly, I don't even think of it as a standalone track when I listen to the album. It's strange, I always feel like it's either a continuation of Companion or the beginning of Doors.

Odal is one that I have to be in the right mood to fully immerse myself in it. If not it does bore me.

I just feel as though that track could've been about 4 minutes less than it actually is.

I still think this is the best Agalloch album. I'd go as far to say that it's the only essential one they've put out.

Not at all. I agree Fortress III could've been shorter too, but it doesn't bore me at any point.

This isnt their best album. Both Pale Folklore and The Mantle are better than this
