Nonono, psychopathologist has got it all wrong. Get Oceanic, then Wavering, then Absence, THEN Celestial. Mosquito EP is great but really heavy, most people don't like it. Red Sea is good too, as is SGNL>05 and In The Fishtank. Oceanic Remixes aren't that necessary, and Sawblade is kinda unecessary besides the novelty factors of the covers.

Celestial is an amazing album, but for people wanting to get into Isis, it's hardly the most relevant, especially considering their style isn't fully developed on it, as well as the fact that its heaviness is going to put some people off.
Oceanic was their breakthrough (and IMO their best). A much better idea to hear that first.

I just listened to this and it's ridiculously good. Are the other albums worth my time though, I feel like as soon as I like one album from a band, the rest don't live up to it.
Get 'Oceanic'. Their early stuff ('The Red Sea', 'Celestial') is basically Neurosis mimicry. It's not such a bad thing (Neurosis fucking rules), but then you might as well just listen to a Neurosis record.
