Yeah, just found that out. Really annoying spotify put this as a new release. Got all excited for nothing! Least some good news is on insta they did say they're working feverishly on the new album so that's a positive.

I mean a quick google will tell you that it is in fact new. Probably the last recording Loic did with the band. I remember reading about the Downward Spiral tribute album a couple months back and seeing some really solid names on there but I forgot The Ocean was involved until I saw this pop up, solid cover and definitely made to feel very The Ocean-y.



Curious re: the feverishly working if they've announced or know what they're doing as far as a vocalist now

No news on new Ocean as far as I know, but in the meantime Loic collaborated with this new serbian progband called Black Idol. Song's name is Annihilate.

Loic sounding great as ever, the band itself is pretty fun; they mixed this EP at Fascination Street Studios (which I don't think I have to introduce to anyone in here) so even the mix is good. Worth checking out imo



The Ocean / Tesseract / Periphery / Karnivool vibes - heavy but with a hint of post and lots of energy

They are working on a new album atm and have new people in the band, just havent announced anything yet. I'd say itl all be publicly quiet until Robins ready or happy with the new album

You will hate it for the most part i think hawksy. Its probably more a 3.5 tbh but i like it for how different it is and has some groove
