> Album starts whoopin a different kind of ass once Mirrors comes on. That 4 song run is pure nut
totally. so I very much hope that those who were disappointed halfway through and thought "just another counterparts album" will change their minds for the last four tracks. This is what happened to me

This would have easily easily been my favourite Counterparts album ever had it not been for the production on the cleans. As it stands I think it'll be my 4th
Still a 5 tho cause best band itw lol

^ completely agree the production on the cleans really hurts it.

@notagenius - you don’t hear how it sounds unnaturally layered and processed? Not sure what else to tell you haha. It doesn’t sound natural at all

I've listened to enough cheesy post hardcore that these cleans don't phase me in the slightest

Can't say they bother me either, vocalists touch up or layer or alter their voices in the studio all the time, not something I'm inclined to gripe about.

I think the distortion you are hearing is probably the result of re-encoding on the streaming provider servers. (because I ran to spotify and youtube, listened to Eulogy and could really hear a big loss, but I am no subscriber so I got low-q)
If there are any audio hardware fans out there, I would like to ask if you also hear the loss of clean vocals when playing leaked mp3s? Because I really didn't hear it, I was listening to the leaked version before and I've been listening to flac files since the release. i'm a bit of an old school diy hardware lover playing native and wired stuff (on a budget). In terms of my experience, I can say that I have no criticism of the production.

Can’t remember a single moment of this after 3 listens but I like it while it’s on. I think that’s good? Also the production is impeccable

Anyone else getting some Attack of the Wolf King vibes here? Sick so far. Awesome review

Listened to the first 3 songs and don’t plan on checking out the rest. Not for me. Never seen the hype for this band but glad y’all are having a good time. I first heard this band over ten years ago! Time flies, man

Very pleasant listen, I think this is a 4 album for sure, at least for now. No idea why I never listen to these guys more

The one thing I wish t/t did was have a melodic jam type outro like Tragedy does rather than fading out. Wish it would have built up

@Jeet - ok ok yeah you right. That joke clearly went straight over my head. I was in full Brendan mode thinking too morbidly

I’ve listened to this band before and thought they were ok. Never really went back to them though. Listened to this five or six times now, it’s undoubtably the best metal core album I’ve heard in the last ten years. Good enough for me to grab the vinyl. Interestingly I listened to the previous three albums of theirs and while decent, probably none got my attention enough that I’ll go back to them very often at all.
