I seriously doubt they’re only gonna get together for one show after making a whole album together. I’ll be kinda pissed if they don’t tour for this ngl

Yeah I’m absolutely trying to see a blood moon set

Tongues/Liars combo is legit top tier ‘verge. Love the t/t, Crimson Stone, Viscera + Scorpion are very good too. Coil is a grower.
There’s not many left that are yet to get me but Failure Forever just isn’t very good and I can’t see that changing. Flower Moon is simply okay. Daimon, I’m undecided.

Failure Forever was definitely Brodsky’s idea

I was thinking Lord of Liars would sound better at a faster tempo so I just tested it in my DAW and it brings more energy to it and was catchier I felt. I agree with Scoot's list about those being the best songs here but I'm still not big on this.

A bit disappointed in this one. Doesn't touch anything from JD to TDIU for me.

Yeah this album is not at all what I expected. I was expecting a bunch of Wretched World/Grim Heart Black Rose style tracks, but fortunately I love what they ended up doing with this.
tho I can totally see why the average converge fan wouldn’t be into this.
And I think I’ve finally settled where I would rank this. Jane > AWLWLB > Bloodmoon > the rest

I got tickets for them/Meshuggah for February next year. First show of the tour actually. Interested to see if they play anything off here

Doubt it. I’m seeing them too but in March. I mean realistically how many of these songs could they play without Chelsea, Ben, and Stephen? Failure Forever maybe?
I feel like they’ll play their normal material opening for Meshuggah, and then hopefully do a full Blood Moon tour in the fall.

They could play Tongues Playing Dead without the rest I reckon

I think failure forever is one of the best songs here, prob way in the minority on that one tho lol

Wait. Gyro likes this? I'm still hesitant. Don't want to be flinging around any more 2.5's when I have 4's to review : [

But I like every song here so…

I like every song too, except maybe the last outro song. I'm not sure where this would land for me in their discography.

I sort of think of Blood Dawn as a nice little epilogue to the whole thing. Crimson Stone is where the album peaks for me.

I think that this works well as a side project, and I generally enjoyed most of it. Props to them for changing things up as drastically as they did, but I don't think that I'd enjoy seeing the band shift in this direction beyond the collaboration with Wolfe.
