First spin done. It’s pretty much exactly what I expected from a Deafheaven shoegaze album. It is very pretty for sure, sounds like a million bucks. Not so sure about the actual songs though and as far as textures go we’re certainly not talking about anything groundbreaking.

Prettiest thing I've listened to this year. Shellstar is gorgeous.
Not sure about the back half tho, need to listen to it more. But that direction is perfect for them.

Album is fire, but this rev as well. Loved it honestly. Loved your take on songwriting on NB, which is smth I value there (and always pointed as lacking on these guys), but also value here. Also couldn t agree more with your altrock worship take. Congrats bro, could read as a 3.5 too tho eheh
