this is the only prog release I've thoroughly enjoyed in 2020, and we had Katatonia, Caligula's Horse, and Haken.

C-Horse grew on me quite a bit tbh. Rise Radiant is full of great tunes. I get the disappointment though. Pain of Salvation was also great. Enter Shikari and Becca Stevens delivered the goods as well (no prog though).

Katatonia was a disappointing listen for me. Caligula's Horse is one of those artists where when I listen to them I love what I hear but it never really grabs me enough to get me returning. Also, "The Ascent" was such an anti-climatic closer.

One reason on why this album already holds a special place in my heart is that i love coming back to any of these tracks. Stuff really hits all the right places for me.

@Kalkwiese I forgot PoS, they're so recent. Their album wasn't disappointing, but it definitely didn't hit me the same way the previous albums did.

These guys never disappoint, smashed it again with this album and the b-sides.

Even if I go a week without listening to this, I still catch myself humming something off of it. It's jammed in my mind real good.

Yup, it's got some pretty nice vocal melodies (my favourite being the chorus of the Canary, ofc). What amazes me is that the ''America is not great but it could be'' part has some weird vocal acrobatics, and yet somehow it doesn't bother me.

I wasn't actually blown away by the b-sides as much as everyone else. I'll probably end up buying them but... meh. Maybe they'll grow on me.

This mother fcker the catchiest album I’ve heard in years. Since it’s release I probably haven’t gone more than a week without listening.

I'm surprised how much they use strings on this album. Gives it a bit of a Fortress sound.

If we pray hard enough we can probably get this to be a "4". Come on gang, let's put this bad boi where it belongs.
