I take back what I said about the first two tracks, they fire. Probably should bump my rating honestly

the first track is very immersive, but then the album starts to feel a bit mushy to me. but I'll probably give it another few plays, it's definitely impressive

there are still about 3-5 tracks on here that i find a lil too cheesy and wouldn't be mad if they were cut, but the rest i super super love

cheesy for sure but cheese is just the weeknd's thing (although that doesn't mean you can't wish that a few tracks were excised because the cheese isn't good cheese). I meant more just homogeneous I guess. but again this is like 1.5 listens lemme see

Honestly I wouldn’t cut anything, even though there are tracks I like more than others. They all add to the experience.

Unlike Starboy, where I’d cut half the album. but the other half doe

It's just about not cheesy enough where I cringe and can overlook it. Anymore and I would have struggled.

Apart from Snowchild though. Such a minimalist song that it really brings out the cringe

Snowchild is a good song on its own, but doesn't feel cohesive as part of the album. I think Nothing Compares would have fit better

But the album flows really well otherwise. Feels like a concept album

Blinding Lights sounds like it could be a Hotline Miami sound track.

[2] for sure. Also, if they don't include Blinding Lights on Radio Los Santos or Blonded on the ps5 version of GTA V... huge wasted opportunity

It's also one of the most addicting songs I've ever heard. There's multiple 10-hour loop videos of the song on YouTube and a part of me is like...10 hours ain't long enough of song loops for this.
