There’s like maybe 2-3 mins of fat on this though, all about context. Sometimes a little extra length is just that much more satisfying, other times it hurts.

The best part is where I want a song to end, and then get hit by a climax and I don't want the song to end

As good as this album is, I have to say that nothing here is as good as Dim. I don't really get much out of most other songs on SatH though, so as a whole this one is better.

Mariner remains untouchable.

I really don't know how I feel about this one. I'm gonna have to get the hq audio with some nice headphones and try again.

The songs are good and I like that they didn't go back and replicate their typical sound but I can't decide yet if I really like this album or not.

Just came back home yesterday after the worst fucking week of my entire life, after not listening to any music for days.

This morning I went back to work and jammed this on the way, only the first 4 tracks. Can't wait to jam the rest.

Great review dude.

"the silent man" is a pretty insane opener. that and "lights on the hill" are early favorites of mine. probably gonna listen to this on my hour+ drive to school in the morning to keep myself proper awake.

I do wonder what this would have been with Julie but Johannes is the man.

Some may disagree, but I'm mesmerized by the full 80 minutes. Maybe its because I've been trying to force myself into loving Fear Inoculum. I don't have to fucking force anything here.
