I find it interesting how the only threads in my 8 years on this site where there are 20+ pages of nothing but making fun of the artist are when the artist is female and doing something that isn't instantly recognisable within normalistic parameters.

In general extreme & experimental music is much more of a sausage fest than any other music genre also. Talk about breaking boundries lol.

again, i get that people dislike this, especially since the vocals and lyrics can get so melodramatic and cheesy, and the death industrial is not too impressive either.



i gotta say that the up-frontness and how unapologetically aggressive the lyrics are is what makes me like it more, otherwise it would just be ok (~2.8-3.0)

But she can‘t really change what she is feeling, can she? Isn‘t what you described exactly what is going through the head of abuse victims? I don‘t think she is empowering her abuser by showing how much she is still affected by her past. I don‘t think you can really fault the art for that.

Who knows, maybe her next album will have some sort of silver lining on the horizon.

She lets her anger about the issue out through her lyrics and her music. How is that counter intutive? How is that different than the MULTITUDE of artists that do exactly the same thing?

Dont get me wrong I completely get how people dont like his or her music. But saying she basically 'should be more positive' Is mansplaining at its finest. I have never used that fucking word and never will again but thats exactly what it is. As well as massively condescending. Everyone has different ways of dealing with trama and grief.
