Also agree, hardcore kids swinging their limbs around is absolutely 100% fucking stupid. Tbh it's part of the reason it took me so long to get into the genre, they would always fuck up metal shows that used to have good ol fashion safer and way more fun mosh pits.
Hated it when I was younger, hate it even more now. Don't really get the concept of making mosh pits actually fucking dangerous by legit swinging fists and kicking at face level

I mean...sure but those kids also tend to go OUTSIDE of the pit and be dicks but whatever (during one of the last shows they were doing that shit around the bar area).
And dude most mosh pits at most metal shows that I go to are generally awesome and safe. It's literally just at shows with 'core' elements with hardcore dancing where kids are swinging fists INTO PEOPLES FACES that's a bit dangerous to even mosh/drink around them and when hospitals generally get called more often than not.
I dunno man, most people I know have kinda felt this since I was a kid so I don't know if I'm "out of touch."
