I didn't like the singing on the first Aghora album, but the other vocalist on the second one is much better.

This is pretty damn dope. Just wish it was shorter and had more variety.

Hmmm this is dece. A little too wanky for my taste and drags in spots but it’s a very interesting listen for sure.

Can I genuinely ask why "too wanky" or "wank fest" (I've read this more than once, not only in this thread) is a negative thing? I mean, if people are talented enough to play that technically, why is it bad that they do so?

Because sometimes it’s just that no all people, like myself, favor the “look how technically amazing I can play my guitar!” Approach. There’s a time and place for that and there’s hella talent in that regard, but it almost always comes off as flashy with no substance. Always exceptions like this, for the most part.

Too wanky doesn’t imply no talent, just implies that sometimes it gets exhausting/boring. This is good but it’s nothing special imo.

There's a fine line between being really good a your instrument, being really good at writing music, and being able to do both at the same time.

Agreed. I mean it goes without saying that these guys have talent, just not really my style I guess.

These guys are always fun when in "wank" mode or whatever you wanna call it. Also I'd love to hear other albums like this if they exist. Genuinely find the vibe of this album to be very unique

It’s def not a wank fest the whole time that’s why I still gave it a 3. There’s some genuinely interesting moments on this album.
