The Wonder Years topped it for me, but Alkaline Trio definitely were right there behind it for sure.

I mean at the very least Composure was leagues above their other LPs but yeah TSSF def takes top pop punk slot for me this year. AOTY for me actually

why TSSF?
lyrics matured from "garbage" to "okay"
band's still as energetic as ever
band rules at writing huge choruses
they finally varied up their sound AT ALL, the fact that there's any acoustic track at all puts it over most of their discography, and the fact that the chiller song work so well is a huge plus
anyway yeah this is a weird year for me in that I don't have a pop-punk album on my list until #15 and it's The Wonder Years (which is a huge slip for them -- it's a good album but it's nowhere close to their past work). After that it's TSSF and Mayday Parade, with Alkaline not far behind

that Mayday Parade album was great as well. looking forward to seeing your list!

new mayday album is so good probably in my top 10 of the year and seeing em live cemented that

yea but see the production kills all of the energy, the lyrics still aren't great, the choruses are good some fo the time but come the back half all the songs start to blur, and the acoustic song is good but if that's all the variety they have then that's less than mayday, twy, this, alk3, mccafferty, etc
i dont get the love

Well the production is the strongest part of new TSSF for me so that may be a big part in different views.
