Btw i love the lyrics he does. They are not abstract but not overly simple either and some of this is somewhat relatable

I just found this out recently, but apparently, The Contortionist (specifically Robby Baca) collaborated with the band Event Horizon on a song called "Of Man". After hearing it, I thought it was ok, all things considered, but I didn't know it existed for weeks.

Event Horizon? Isn't that also the name of a space related thing (from NASA or ESA?)

iirc the point where you are effectively *in* the black hole.

More importantly, the name of a fucking killer outer-space horror / thriller.

Sounds amazing actually

Anybody reading the Expanse? I borrowed the first book, will read it probably in the next weeks. I have heard almost nothing but praise for it, same for the tv show but i usually watch finished series

The event horizon is the theoretical point at which the gravity of the black hole becomes so great that light can't escape. It is essentially the theoretical boundary of a black hole.

And Event Horizon the movie is fucking great.

I can't listen to Monochrome (Pensive) without getting emotional. I almost lost my sister due to alcoholism when this album came out and now that song just floods all those feelings back. Happy Friday!

Very nice indeed. I'm really liking how their sound matured over the years too. This seems like a step up from this LP.

Where should I start with these guys? Also, what's a good comparison for them so I know what I'm getting into? They started off as a deathcore band with mostly all screams then transitioned into prog/metalcore and featured more cleans?
