Idk, the interludes to me felt like they were trying too hard to make it feel cohesive

Best ordering:

1) Lit Me Up

2) Can't Get It Out

3) Same Logic/Teeth

4) In The Water

5) 137

6) Out Of Mana

7) Desert

8) No Control

9) 451

10) Waste

11) Could Never Be Heaven

12) Batter Up

It's so cohesive this way and IMO more balanced. You're welcome in advance.

That one was kinda neat.

Idk this might grow to a 3 but I really doubt I could give it any higher than that.

Same Logic/Teeth is quite a mess of a song, lots of incongruous elements clashing

"lots of incongruous elements clashing"

that's always been what Brand New is about, dating back to Deja, becoming more discordant on TDAG, and then a totally beautiful mess on Daisy

All the slower tracks are starting to reveal their intricacies to me today...there's not a single bad/filler moment here. My favorite overall songs thus far are Same Logic/Teeth, Out of Mana, In the Water, and 451- not necessarily in that order.

Sint it's not that it's not straightforward it's that they try too many things there and it doesn't work.

They have a lot of clashing elements and it has nothing to do with straghtforwardness; it's a question of whether you perceive it as incongruous (boney) or intentionally discordant (IMO). I think it hits the same sweet spot as most of Daisy in that regard.

I'm just trying to encourage some discussion here, so far it seems mostly to just be a cycle of circlejerking and contrarianism. Haven't seen much discussion of the actual music.

Can't really expect a deep analysis of the music when the album has been out for a day and nobody has had the chance to properly listen to it yet
