> melodeath
This crushes pretty much anything with that label.
To me, best Cradle. Absolute savagery, with some tragic melancholy undertones. Such a unique vibe. Every time I hear somebody disparage Cradle now, I make them listen to Desire in Violent Overture. It's always based on misconception, or at least an incomplete grasp of what they are. Even if they still can't handle Dani, I won't let up until they agree that CoF are legit AF.

I don’t see the need for the comparison between this and melodeath

both are melodic with lots of harmonized guitars. seems like a fair comparison.

I'm only halfway through this album but its better than 95% of the melodeath I've heard

Amazing album, it grew on me quite a bit after a not so good first impression on the production

LETS GOOOO!!!!

They know how to keep this varied and engaging which is where I find most melodeath falls short. Not seeing any glaring production issues w the OG mix on my end.

I love the OG. The band hated it though obviously. Just watched a Nick Barker interview and he said he burst into tears when he heard it he was so upset lol.

Lmao i get it tho, i really disliked the clicky drums aswell, but now i sorta prefer this one over the remaster only by a hair, the atmosphere feels more consistent
