i mean, for me this really might be the best album ever made. its such an incredible journey. its 3am and i just finished another uninterrupted listen. no matter how tired i was when i pressed play... just constantly captivated throughout, and totaly enraptured in the world theyve created. just an unquestionable masterpiece that completely outclasses everything else ive heard.

Surely no album with Mr. Usher on it could possibly be a masterpiece lel

taking a song and judging it in isolation is missing the point of this album, sorry.
mr usher is a great song regardless, but it excels in the context of the albums journey.

It's the kind of shit Dream Theater would stick on one of their new albums or something
And saying it's part of the album does not excuse it from criticism, like how is that even an argument.

The Haves Have Naught
The Revival
The March

^Probably my top 5 from the album, Gloria is SOTY material. Blood is probably tied with Mr.Usher for 5th though.

First 12 minutes of this is fantastic, really like Gloria and Light as well.

lots of bands that care about the albums they make will write songs that serve the album as a whole, while not necessarily being great in isolation. context is absolutely important and im sorry you dont see that.
you must hate intro tracks.

I absolutely see that, has nothing to do with its function within the album, you completely misunderstand what my complaint is about with the song, it just sounds kinda ridiculous is all. I don't hate it or anything, and it's not even a bad song just a bit questionable.

I just relistened to Usher and I actually don't mind it, I think the choirs and theatrics through me off at first listen but now I actually kind of like it, the piano solo is indeed awesome

Masterpiece agreed... I still sometimes get the feels when Regress transitions to The Moon/Awake... and chills throughout each song

In no order, The Moon/Awake, Cascade, Melpomene, Light, Gloria, The Fire Remains, and March are favs... though all is top notch

I've listened a lot, but I feel like in a year I'm not going to care about this whereas I listen to Act IV all the time still :/
