Row I always saw each of those three as a little similar in their approach to art, shared interest in the dream state, all have embraced varied mediums and similar creative techniques (cut up and reassembled non linear forms).

Dudes who landed on this world to create and move on, create and move on. True artists in the pure sense.

Plus Chas n Dave obviously

As a timepiece, a document, a work of art and the sign off from one of the greatest icons of rock n roll it's a hard 5.

As a listen, it's a 4.

5 all the way though bro.

Sure as far as pushing the envelope way out there those three Daves are the stuff, but as far as just fucking great tunes go you can't beat Gilmour

The most emotional listen for me has been Space Oddity. I haven't cried in 18yrs but there was a possibility that I could of shed a tear.

That vid doing the rounds of the Scottish fella doing life on Mars on that church organ was a thing of beauty as well.

Yeah, I listened to "Heroes" on Monday morning and just sat at my desk crying. It's a good thing I get to work so early so no one saw me.

But I would have just told them I was crying for Bowie. No shame.

That morning went that my other half left for work so turned over to get my extra 25 minutes of kip...text...'David Bowie has died'...turn over to iPod and press play from where I left off...that fumbling at the start of Dollar Days...if I'll never see those English evergreens...

That just hit me straight off, I'd been listening to Bowie straight for two days but suddenly I knew I'd be listening to it that different way we all know from now on.

Two young 'uns. One's a Palace fan, totally clueless, think they only cut his umbilical cord last week

Other than about 720 people the world over anyone born after 1990 is a total bellend that is fact.

Man, I usually don't like people that are all "If you don't know who this is, we can't be friends," but I might have to make the exception for Bowie.
