I find it weird that any band doing their own take on the dissonant tech sound gets labelled as "derivative" or "X worship" regardless of how inventive they actually are. So it's okay for all those bands ripping off Entombed, Incantation, Autopsy, Timeghoul or early-Darkthrone but throw in a few jangly, off-kilter riffs and all of a sudden originality is lacking?

I rather this one tbh, but you can t deny that this makes you think of a bunch of other bands, while the new one sounds more like themselves idk. I love catching vibes etc, for me it doesn t mean its a rippoff or derivative, specially because its often seen as a neg thing. One thing is to copycat something else, other is to create something out from your influences (imo)
