I guess I get it.
Don't go calling them post punk on the wrong side of town though, or a fight'll break out.

Tortoise and the Tourist is my new-ish fav off this, good vibes on that one.
But Ground Walks is close behind.

The Ground Walks is that rare song that just makes me happy whenever I hear it. never a bad context for that song

This has spectacular songs but lord is it haphazard and inconsistent z

Just based on first listen, this is pretty dull and unremarkable. I’m sure it’ll improve somewhat with repeated listens, but it’s already obviously their worst album. Really lacks stand out songs like Spitting Venom.

Lampshades on Fire, Shit in Your Cut, The Ground Walks and Coyotes are awesome, but this album is just frustratingly inconsistent. Pretty damn good but def MM’s worst album.

The inconsistenty is the problem here yeah agree. I like your song picks

Damn this is actually a hell of a grower. May bump up to a 4 eventually. I might even like it more than Good News but not sure if it’s quite as good as We Were Dead. Probably because WWD has Spitting Venom, which is in my top 3 MM songs. Strangers Is definitely lacking a stand out, epic track.

Don't forget pups to dust because it might be the best track on this thing

That’s a good one too. In addition to the songs I mentioned above, The Best Room and Of Course We Know are really growing on me too.
