Holy hell it is truly amazing. Another addition to my top 10 albums probably.

I really like how old school and muddy it sounds.

Don't understand the hate towards CC at all, if you don't like riffs then yeah sure but whaaaaat?!

I don't get it either man, when I was younger I think it was cool to hate them because they were a "mainstream death metal band" but now that no one gives a shit about that stuff anymore I really don't know.

Their riffs rule

People are stupid. These guys deserve way more praise. At least for the fuckin consistency.

And hell, I can't think of any dm band that has ever written their best material 2 decades into their career. The last few albums have been fantastic and among their best imo

I agree, especially with this and Torture. Tbh the next one might be my favorite if the whole album is as amazing as they always are with the extra flavor of old school rawness. Should be the best of both worlds.

Mhmm, I am glad this new track has a bit of rawness and muddiness to it.

You could argue that their albums (i.e. this and Torture) were getting a bit too polished sounding. Not that that is a bad thing, as they both sounded killer and punchy, but then I feel like they would all start to sound the same.

Yeah I kind of agree with that. A Skeletal Domain was amazing, but I don't know if I would want another super polished CC album. This seems like the best decision for them to make right now.

It doesn't make any sense how they're this good this late in their career, and it's not like they really took any breaks either

It's fucking crazy

Same could be said about most of their other stuff too tbh. One of the most consistent dm bands ever.
