basically it all boils down to how many songs really sucked me in...which isn't many. woven web is fucking fantastic, same with tooth and claw. but other than those there just aren't many of "those" moments which grab me and think whoa this is really something. they're first 2 had those moments in leaps and bounds

all in all it's a very safe album. on their other 2 albums it was just so fresh and exciting...I'm not really getting that AAL vibe here.

also Navene was a beast and nothing Gartska does on this even comes close to anything on weightless, but that's just my opinion

basically. I feel like that was the last time this band really transcended. that outro is one of their most brilliant moments

I warmed up to it a lot more recently...mainly when I would jam this and feel underwhelmed after each listen

Great album.

I find it more interesting than their debut, but I enjoy listening to the debut more.

Also nothing on the album is quite as good as CAFO, so there's that.

Behaving Badly is my fav from the first album.

I think this is a lot more consistent than Weightless at least, but that element of unpredictability isn't really here aside from a few songs. I saw someone describe this as a "safe record", and I couldn't agree more. Safe, but awesome.

Doesn't have a song that hits me hard like CAFO and Inamorata.. not sure how I feel about this one yet.

A bit peeved there are no guitar interludes on this album, some songs could have done with a bit more experimentation but overall it's still incredible.
