Did you at least listen to the track with Garrison on it?

In The Hollow sounds better than anything Erra released post-Garrison IMO.

Agreed hard

The best song Erra has post-Garrison is either Warrior or Sleeper imo

Agreed. Those were the only songs on their recent projects where it felt like they were firing on all cylinders. The hook to Sleeper is SO good, and when the song was over I was like “No give me more of THAT! ”.

I liked Sleeper, Hourglass, Hypnotist, and Safehaven

They just aren't as fun anymore, it's a shame because they were my favorite band

Yeah i listened to the song with Garrison on it when it came out. Didn't wow me, but to be fair my music tastes are really random lately.

If you can't vibe with the track that Garrison is on then you most likely won't dig it.

Man, you don't like old Northlane, and you don't like The Artificials. I thought I had your tastes figured out lmao

I'm all over the place! I just choose to review junz, haha

But nah on a more serious note, I guess I present my opinions on modern heavy music because I know the landscape better I guess, like if I tried to review any of the rap/hip-hop I enjoy, it'd just be "well I think this sounds good"

Thanks for the kind words, dude! It really means a lot to me that people actually bother to read my reviews, lol. I usually just write them because an album will inspire me to, and I just kind of hope nobody thinks it's too shit. That and the writing practice is always nice!

I'm going to try to start reviewing more often just for fun again!

No problem my dude, you deserve the kind words

On another note, I don't know how the fuck Jesse and Alan came up with these riffs. I've been learning Frostbite all day and the positions that they put their hands in are fucking wild

I still can't believe how good of a conclusion that Dementia is, it's such a good way to bring the album to a close

I like Dementia but I feel like Andromeda is the best closer to any Erra project ever.

That's one of Jesse's best performances, I miss his voice from Impulse
