I can really appreciate the reserved yet nuanced drum playing. the drums themselves actually sound really great too(production)

yeaaa drums sound fantastic! everything sounds great, but it's really rare to hear such good sounding drums in modern metal. also the drummer himself is amazing, really gives the unique feel to the music with all the little nuances, but still hits hard as a truck. you just know shit is about to go down when you hear those 4 fast stick clicks to introduce the riff in Exterminate.
