I remember being super stoked for this when it was announced way back when, and then that first preview of Mostly Hair and Bones was literal god-tier.
When listening to this though, it's like the best tracks are separated by two or three okay ones at a time, and I think I was always expecting some more experimentation. Love the ending, but this whole middle reminds of a You Fail Me album structure that is honestly pretty distracting.
Hospital EP has been listened to more times than able to count. As for CL, and some heavy exposure of repeatedly listening to Lightless Walk all the way through on cassette in my car, I can ride that album and I think it is at least on par with this.

if anything I think the opener is the weakest track here besides the t/t, the rest is solid, and the longer tracks are the better ones.

haha i played this for a couple of my coworkers in the kitchen the other day after close. was surprised to find out that one of the guys already listens to gaza and knew the name of the album

Interesting to hear, the opener for me has always been like this insane instant flipping-on of a switch. Structurally it's probably the least complex but it hits with some extreme power and I love the vocal performance and vivid lyrics.
Who got into Plebeian Grandstand because of these guys? For someone really into How Hate is Hard to Define, how does their other works stack up?

Fine, but Lightless Walk is still the better album so the best CL is just as good as Gaza

LMAO, I'm working at a new place and one of the guys of the kitchen staff is a metalhead, a few days ago he was jamming some thrash and the chief told me something like "don't mind him and his psychedelic music", I was like.. bruh

Birds in Row got me into Plebeian Grandstand. Their drummer was wearing some of their merch during a gig a few years back. Instantly became a fan. Best modern black metal band imo

Plebeian grandstand is so tight, they randomly came to my city in the USA and I only found out about it afterwards, never gotten over that.
