This is going down...

Push play...the 5 second long riff gets old after 3 minutes...skip to next song. Skip boring, slow and unnecessarily emo songs. Got about 5 to 10 minutes of worthwhile material.

Those slow and self-centered songs are really like a 15 year old emo girl slitting her wrists. During those moments they take themselves too serious, which they display by presenting a dictionary as a lyric booklet. Those small gems like Do Not Look Down, with a great groove, albeit repetitive, and simple yet powerful lyrics are too rare. Take Demiurge for example, exactly like Bursum's Filosofem is it so full of itself and so emo, dark, "brootal." Grow up Meshuggah.

Periphery is much more than Meshuggah will ever be. If anything they're not repetitive, they're not slitting their wrists, they don't think they're so "brootal" if they look like maniacs who will eat your children on every poster.

Like I said, I understand Meshuggah's fans not growing up...hell there are thousands of 50 year olds who would love to suck Maynard's dick...but Meshuggah sure should, grow up that is.
