Spawn of Possession is like having your genitalia slowly mutilated by a rusty chainsaw. Riffs are chaotic and brutal, vocals are roared, and the drums are an aural steamroller. Even more spastic and unpredictable than Necrophagist, the band they most resemble, Spawn of Possession plays at blinding speeds with plenty of solos and memorable songwriting to boot. Truly one of the forerunners of modern technical death metal.

I don’t really have a favorite band but these guys are definitely climbing into the upper echelon of my most-played dm. I recently found Noctambulant used at my local record store and I also just ordered copies of Cabinet and Incurso. Can’t wait to get them

Yeah Noctambulant is pretty damn good, just a shame the production is kinda brickwalled.
The main 'solo' riff on Scorched is one of my all time faves.

I've heard them all but can't remember any of them so I probably thought they were average. Because Jonas was their primary songwriter and he's literally never been in any other band, I feel like nothing will be up to the quality of SoP from the other members.

But all the other members are all ex-members of like a thousand bands as well so just go through Metallum and look them all up.
