It is the same setlist every show, here is my bias: I never cared for Illusion and they didn't play a single song off alchemy index and only one off of vheissu (those and artist are all I really care for)

Fair enough, yeah. I was on the fence about going but I have friends that want to go and I fucking love Holy Fawn.

Holy Fawn's whole set rocked and Artist in the Ambulance is a top tier record so the show was definitely well worth it. Holy Fawn's merch was sweet too.

Good to hear. I caught them on their final date last time, I think, so they didn't have any sizes.

"It is the same setlist every show"
it isn't though. most of it is the same but as the tour's gone on they've swapped out a handful of newer songs in the second half for older ones
fair enough though, if you mainly dig that mid-00s era of thrice they still haven't played much from that

Ash the last 5 setlists have had the exact same 22 song set. I’m not search farther back, but you got what I was saying.
But yeah, as a fan of 03-07 thrice I was happy to escape early and meet some friends for a drink.

I'm so fuckin mad I missed both the Vheissu tour and this tour man, definitely the albums I'd want to go out to a Thrice show for.
Also am I the only person that enjoys the vocals on the new version of TAITA? Some songs better than others for sure but idk, I really like the less polished/more live sounding production on the vocals and I like the smoky quality of his voice and the way he pulls back into vibrato in some places is ace.
I didn't get into this band until around the Alchemy Index so the original TAITA also wasn't super formative for me like some, it actually sounded kind of token and basic albeit still enjoyable when I first heard it but I think it's because by that point it had already been copied and ripped off into the ground and I actually enjoy it a lot more now, the re-record got me listening to it a shitton this spring.
Also from clips I've seen of this tour he can absolutely still kill it vocally.
It's wild how much Paper Tigers, Blood Clots, and Abolition still rip to dis day.

@Jizz I’m with you, I thought the re-record was cool and in my mind, equal to the original. Definitely made me get interested in this album again.

I will say many of the features were way too subtle, although I get they didn't want to alter the overall sound of the album *too* much, I often forget there's extra bois when I'm listening. The Andy Hull harmonies on Stare at the Sun are particularly super nice tho.

"Also from clips I've seen of this tour he can absolutely still kill it vocally."
his voice has aged like a fine wine and I think that's universally agreed even among people who don't like post-hiatus Thrice

fr. can understand (and somewhat agree with) backchat regarding his harshes, but anyone who can't see the improvement in his cleans needs to quit music and go to emo rehab for sad whingy reasons

He voice is better now but doesn't fit the music now

It fits the current music they make now which is why i still like what they make. I prefer his current voice over the old voice but it is still "emo" to me. In an Emery country kind of way. The lyrics help/dont help.

I went last night. It kicked ass. Deadbolt brought the fucking house down, and Weight and Yellow Belly sounded fresh and bluesy as ever. Plus their Beatles cover was super nice.
