"you're doing it wrong"

Dude I've been into The Beatles longer than any other band (since I was a kid) and I prefer psychedelic Beatles, always did. I like Abbey Road though, but it's only a 4 for me.

Now you're the one who doesn't get it.

Silly songs are awesome. If The Beatles were never silly, they'd get so boring.

Dude, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is amazing. I get music, but music doesn't need to be serious all of the time.

As for "Yellow Submarine", "When I'm Sixty Four", and "Octopus's Garden", They're pretty good too, but not really the best...

Would the Beatles really be the Beatles if there was no Octopus, Sub, Hammer or 64?

I don't know man, I just don't know.

i agree so much @NorthernSkylark, yellow submarine and octopus's garden are the biggest offenders

Abbey Road is incredibly well written, but it's style just doesn't do it for me as much as everything from Rubber Soul-The White Album.

It's still a 4 to me though.

"but Come Together"

Is wonderful, BUT

"Something" is one of George Harrison's most generic songs, "Octopus's Garden" is well y'know and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" overstays it's welcome by like 3 minutes.

1st side on abbey road is the closest you get to a musical rollercoaster.
