He had nodules during that time, he could barely hit any high note for the clean vocals during that show. It's quite something he even performed.

"Never again" is the words I'd give to Kyo after that show, but damn was it brilliant.

Kyo does use vocal effects live, though. I remember seeing Dir En Grey in Boston and after the show I heard an older guy talking to his son, it sounded like he was working backstage on sound. He was talking about how Kyo had a switch on his mic that he'd activate during screams. Not sure exactly what that effect was, but it must be something to help him out.

The first song take forever to build and there's no payoff.... on the next track, the vocals are comical at best (this comes from someone who can appreciate Dani Filth). It's a shame because I came to this album with the best expectations, the musicians are obviously stellar and the production is perfect... I can see how people enjoy this album just for the sake of enjoying weird shit....
