This album hits a vibe no other album does for me. The whole sample thing is just an added depth, it'd be a 5 regardless. Played this so many times in a parked car at night as a kid smoking pot and that just felt right

nah dude I just don't get why the album is so well liked besides being the first of it's kind, I've tried it many times over the years. It's not that I don't like it because I don't get it, I think it's not good and I don't understand the acclaim. Mostly I don't understand all the 5's. it reminds me of J Dilla's work, beloved albums that to me sound like a amateurish mess of poorly layered samples that don't jive together with little musical value or enjoyment to be had.
