Well listen to Agalloch, Emperor, Dissection, Wolves in the Throne Room, Burzum, Vinterland and basically just the more melodic/atmospheric side of BM first. I find it pretty accessible and perfect for this time of year if you live in a cold area.

Agalloch are a decent entry point but they aren't all that BM except on parts of Marrow and on their new EP
Good entry level BM would be stuff like
Dissection
Ulver - Bergtatt
Vinterland
Newer Immortal
Burzum (I personally think this guy is a lot easier to get into than people mke him out to be, go for his Filosofem and earlier stuff)

Alcest
October Falls
