Haha, I was indeed hypnotised...she was stunning in both departments actually. I actually did not expect her to look the way she did, and she's actually an amazing singer.

Thanks for the feedback actually as she is definitely not an easy one to pick whether she'd be great live or not. My guess is she would be hit & miss depending on the night, but those who have seen of her late have been positive, which augurs well for the future.

Also I have a question to ask you Davey. I've noticed that for many albums you write a sound-off like review in the comments section (take for example Late of the Pier - there are many others I have seen but cannot think of right now). Why do you choose to write them there instead of in the sound-off section of the review site?

I wouldn't say "augurs" is a complex word, but anyway.



Yeah, it's just an anal thing of mine. A lot of them are to get my thoughts in order on certain albums more than anything else. But I also think if it gets actual serious discussion going (which is apparently what the actual comments pages are for), then it's a positive. Sound-offs don't tend to do that other than people being stupid.



Also, I definitely do them for albums that are a chance to make my year-end list. That way, it's easy to just slot the comments in come December.
