Calling it. Best snare sound ever.

I sometimes wonder if that sound was by accident or on purpose, but that muffled sound with the final product is fucking amazing.

Its well over my hundredth listen of this yet i'm still finding new sounds I've somehow managed to miss like the background keys in 'Maritime' (Right headphone) or the female vocals in 'beginning and the end' which i always assumed were synth. This is how you know you've got a fucking classic album on your hands.

the female vocals on Beginning and the End are incredibly well-mixed.

Yea they sound heavenly

The way this album is produced and in particular the drum sound are what make it a definite 5 for me. I love the music but how it is captured is truly special.

Yea definitely, there's a certain warmth to the non metal parts. Like the last two minutes of The Beginning And The End.
|

Uninventive, I know, but the production really has an aqueous quality to it.

The remaster is even better. Didn't think it was possible.
